Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
Hi there. I live in Georgia and recently discovered we have bees in our exterior wall (I didn't find out until they started coming in through our closet wall). I'm not sure yet if they are honey bees or carpenter bees. (I have someone coming out in a couple of days.) My question is: My lease states I am responsible for "pest control". No problem. But bees cannot exactly be prevented. If we get them eradicated, are we responsible for any structural damaged caused by the bees, the efforts of the honey bee keepers or of the carpenter bee exterminators caused during the removal/eradication process?

The first step in a situation like this was obviously to have a discussion with the landlord. What did the landlord say when you spoke with them?
