Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Cannot locate tenant

Had a tenant with signed 10 month lease who moved without notice after 4 months. I have been trying to locate my ex-tenant since he left bu cannot find an address for him to serve notice to pay past due rent. I do know that ex-tenant is attending a local college (but lives off-campus) and will graduate next month in May. I eventually want to go to small claims court to seek rent payment for the remaining months on lease. Can I do that without knowing where the tenant is now living? If not, what other recourse do I have? Is there a time limit on filing such a claim for past due rents?

Re: Cannot locate tenant

The only way to collect past due rent is to perosnally serve the Tenant.
