Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
MAXIMUM FEES FOR LATE RENT?
Hello! I have a rental property in Athens-Clarke County. The tenant consistently pays rent late. The lease is up, and she will either need to agree to new terms or get a 60 notice.
Are there any regulations for the maximum amount of late fees I can charge in Athens-Clarke County? I've googled and searched, and have not found any information on maximums for late fees.
Thank you!

Technically, no. But a very large amount could be deemed unconscionable (unenforceable) by a court, so it is wise to not go crazy with the figure.
