Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
What should i do?
We moved in our home about 3
months ago and the house was not
like I figured it should be. The walls
are not painted, theres cracks in it
where the dry wall doesn't meet the
ceiling. The carpets are nasty, the
closet doors are broke, the bath tub
doesn' t drain, we have to put a
screw driver in it. We had to put a
new fridge in, there is not a fire
alarm, theres little wires hanging
down that look like they've caught
fire. We had to have someone look
at the ac and they took the electrical
breaker out of the box and it DID
catch fire, they said they couldnt
believe this house hasn't burnt to
the ground. We tried to plug in our
computer one day and the plug in
sparked and that scares us because
we have a 5 month old boy, 2 of our
phone outlets dont work. The bad
thing is to he owns a Ace hardware.

Re: What should i do?
Many of the things you mention could have been, and should have been, caught with a basic eyeball inspection. Obviously, a buyer can inspect the walls, carpet, doors, etc., and make a decision as to whether to buy. If they choose to ignore, it is their problem. Such obvious conditions are generally the buyer's problem for not paying attention, unless contracts state otherwise. The electrical issues MAY be something to review further, but even then this can usually be caught with a qualified inspection prior to purchase. You can have a lawyer review the contracts and facts, but it looks like trying to make up for a poor buying decision and, I assume, no inspection.
