Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Nonrefundable Fees

The landlord put my $100 deposit toward painting and says I owe $100 more for cleaning, even though I paid a $100 nonrefundable Redecorating Fee. I also had a leak that took them over 2 months to fix, which caused mold, mildew, roaches and spiders, and I was pregnant the entire time. They never fixed the mold and mildew either, and the maintenance crew were in our apartment cleaning before our lease was up.

Re: Nonrefundable Fees

You didn't ask a question. You may sue the landlord for his failure to repair the leak, but you will probably also be liable for the cleaning. Look at the terms of the lease.
