Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
What are my options?
I moved into a duplex in June where the landlord had not completed all the repairs that he told my husband & I that he was going to make if we rented the unit. It is now October & he has yet to complete any of the work. We moved in under the impression that these repairs would be done within the first two weeks of our occupancy. We waited an extra 2 weeks before moving in due to the repairs still being in progress. Now other situations have presented themselves and the landlord says he will take care of it & then we never hear from him until the 3rd of the month (when the rent is due). We continue to pay without any reciprocity. What steps do we take to rectify these situations?

No one knows the terms of your lease, and you chose not to tell us any details. That is the first place to look for the landlord's obligations.
