Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
I recently received a new lease agreement from my landlord that states my monthly rent will go up. The landlord is also requesting an additional $189 that he states will be added towards the $600 deposit I originally gave him when I first moved into the apartment unit. I've been a tenant for almost 5 years in the same unit and this is the first time the landlord has ever requested an additional deposit. Is this legal?

You have the landlord's terms for a renewal. Accept the terms, negotiate different terms, or find a new apartment.
