Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
I just recently signed a lease at an Alpharetta, GA apartment complex. I had mentioned to two of the leasing agents prior to moving in and at the time of my lease that i had a German Shepherd Dog. Now that i am all moved in and ready & willing to pay the pet deposit/fee they tell me that there is a banned dog list and that she is not even allowed on the property. They will not make any exception to the policy and will not let me break my lease without paying two months rent when i have only lived here a week. Is there anything at all that i can do at this point? Because i am single and pregnant and feel unsafe in this complex alone.

The answer depends on what your lease said, and neither you nor they can alter the lease. Certainly you read it before you signed, and no one here has, so you have the answer in front of you.
