Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

Removing Tenants Personal Property

If a tenant is forced to vacate a property due to water damage and is moved into another property owned by the same landlord, but decides that the new property they have been moved into is more appropriate for their needs and agrees to sign a new lease how long does the tenant have to remove their personal property so that repair of their previous residence can begin? The tenant has been asked verbally for about 1 mnth and small personal items are still on the premises. What are my rights as a landlord?

Re: Removing Tenants Personal Property

Ordinarily, a tenant must have their personal property off the property at the end of the lease term (or by order of court via eviction). Your situation is somewhat complex because of the transition. I would need more facts to give you a complete answer.
