Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
If you rent on a month to month basis and the other party moves with out notice are they obligated to pay the rent for the next month and the utilites for the the last month they occupied the residence?

A tenant is required to provide at least 30 days' notice before moving out. Otherwise, they would be responsible for the 30 days' rent minus any damages mitigated by the landlord.
