Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
I have been rentingto own a mobile home for 2 years now. June 5 2012 it was struck by lightening and I have been without hot water, stove, air conditioning since. Insurance is includeded in my rent that I pay every month to my landlord but they are refusing to pay for the damages caused by lightening. The insurance is in their name meaning the check will come to them directly so shouldnt they be accountable to fix the damages? I dont know the insurance information. All I know is that my landlord added the premium to my rent.

Same answer you received last time. No one here has your lease, the insurance information or other facts you left out. Certainly, the landlord gave a reason for not paying (maybe as simple as they just don't want to), but you don't tell us that either. You were told to see what the lease says about insurance and responsibility for damages, but you don't tell us that. You can get a lawyer and pay him/her to do all this work for you, or you can do all you can to get answers. What won't help you, as you were told before, is asking people here to guess the facts. One thing I can add is that since it was your property, YOU should have known exactly what was or what was not insured and taken steps to get the appropriate insurance to cover all goods and personal property in the house (and obviously made sure the structure was insured and there was liability insurance to protect you).
