Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
I have resided in my grandmothers house, on her property for approximately 3 years. There has never been a rental agreement/ lease due to the fact she has never wanted rent. Recently she has threatened to "trash" my belongings while I am out of town on business because she does not fond of my upcoming marriage. The city that my children and I intend on relocating to is approximately three hours from where we currently reside. With my travel schedule and one month still remaining in the current school year, it is not reasonable for me to commute three hours one way to take my children back and forth to school for the month that remains. I am seeking advice on my legal rights in the state of Georgia for eviction, etc in a situation where no contract/ lease agreement has ever been entered in to.
Thank you,

She would have to provide you with at least 60 days' notice prior to any demand for you to leave.
