My roommate claims he accidentally stepped on my designer sunglasses valued at over $250. What can I sue for and what criminal charges can be pressed?

You can sue for the value of used sunglasses if that is how you choose to spend your time and money. Suing a current roommate won't make for a happy home. Trying to press criminal charges is just silly.
