Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
My son is foreclosing on his home in which I am living. He is not living here. Since January 2009 I have been paying him rent. Which come to find out he has not used for the mortgage. My question is: According to his Foreclosure Attorney the property will be sold on January 5, 2010 and I will have 2 weeks to vacate the premises. What recourse do I have? Also how firm is the 2 weeks? Please get back to me. Background on me is I am 61, unemployed for 2 years from one job and 1 1/2 years from the second job. About to run out of unemployment benefits. No where to go.

Foreclosure wipes out any type of tenancy you may have. For more info, consult with a local attorney.
