Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

student apartment lease

My 20 year old daughter attends a GA state university. Last year I leased an apartment near campus that specializes in students for her. The lease was for one year at $375 a month. A couple of months ago the apartment complex sent out a notice to the residents to sign a new lease before the rate increased for next year. My daughter signed a new lease with out discussing it with me at $385 a month. Now the apartments are leasing for $300 a month. Is there any way to void her lease and have me sign a new one at the new rate?

Re: student apartment lease

You omit any basis to void or terminate the new lease? Read the lease to see if it has any provision to terminate early. Does it have any guarantee that she will pay the lowest rate? That would be very unusual.
