Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
Taxes paid by renter?
We are currently renting an office
space and have just realized that our
landlord is charging us for pass
through costs every quarter, which
come out to an additional $850 a
month on top of our rent. We knew
that this would include HOA dues
(which are $776.00 every quarter)
which we agreed to pay. We are
responsible for paying all of our own
utilities, including water, gas, power,
trash, etc. It would appear as though
the additional money that he is
charging are for his property taxes.
As renters, are we responsible for
paying our landlords property taxes?

We do not have a copy of your lease, and you did not mention the terms.
