Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
Can a tenant sign a waiver to keep the homeowner from being sued if their pit bull dog attacks someone? The homeowners insurance will not insure the home if the tenant has a pit bull.

Of course not. How would an agreement between the landlord and tenant somehow serve as a waiver of victim of the dog, who will not be a party to the waiver? It would be extremely poor judgment for a landlord to rent to the owner of a pitbull when insurance won't cover it. There is a reason it is excluded and the landlord may very find out why.
