What is the law when a contract is broken when the tenant is purchasing a home before the contract with the landlord expires.

Re: Tentant and Landlord contract

The tenant would still be held to the terms of the lease agreement, i.e. the purchase would not excuse the tenant from paying rent. Of course, the tenant may choose to break the lease and pay the penalty amount, if such a provision exists.

Re: Tentant and Landlord contract

The purchase of a home (or other specific reason for leaving) has nothing to do with the lease, unless your lease has a specific provision for termination upon buying a house. Read your lease for early termination information.
