Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia
Hello. I am thinking of purchasing an investment property. The current tenant is disabled, and the house isn't fully accessible to her. She can access most of the house, however, she cannot access her bedroom closet or one of the bathrooms.
Were I to purchase this house and keep her as a tenant, would I be liable to widen the doorways to the bedroom closet or bathroom so she could access those areas?

No, not unless the lease agreement she has dictates as such. The Americans with Disabilities Acts does not apply to private landlords.
