Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

unfair eviction

I moved my mobile home in a park here in georgia. I have paid my rent on time every month for a few months. Thats as long as I have been here. I recieved a certified letter saying I have to move my doublewide within 60 days. I am a single parent, and my grandmothers inheratence is what bought my home and moved it here. The land lord has givin me no reason why. He just complains about the children hanging around the street infront of my home. but these children are not in my yard which is fenced. Plus my girls are not out playing with these children. i havent broken any of the rules, so I dont really even understand why I am getting this eviction. The land lord also said, no one can move into my home? Which I own? why he brought that up I do not know. What can I do? I a cant afford to move my home. I also havent done anything wrong. We are quite, never loud, no loud music or carring on...I just dont get this. please help.

Re: unfair eviction

Your best option is to seek the assistance of an attorney who is familiar with landlord tenant law. If you need a referral contact the nearest Bar Association. You may also want to call the Landlord Tenant Helpline of Georgia Legal Services or contact whichever office of that organization is nearest to you (glsp.org)

Re: unfair eviction

If you are not under a lease term of tenancy (usually 1 year) and/or on a month-to-month lease, the landlord has the right to terminate the lease with at least 60 days' notice to you. Conversely, the tenant may do the same with 30 days' notice.
