Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in Georgia

valid lease agreement

My 19 year-old-daughter is a college sudent. She signed a lease with 3 other girls for an appartment. In the lease all are responsible for the total rent. The lease is form 5/12/07 to 5/12/08. Parents were also ask to sign a Guaranty of rsponsiblity which I did not sign. I have found out that the apartment comlex offers a individual contract but was this offer was not made to them. I called as was told there is one and but with an addistional monthly fee. I asked for a copy of the agreement and that I want a individual lease for my daughter. I was told the papper work had been already signed. What are my leagal rights to get an indivdual lease.

Re: valid lease agreement

You state that a lease was signed. Do the terms of that lease allow your daughter to switch to the other form of lease? A contract generally does not become invalid when a party finds a better deal (unless tha contract provides for that).
