Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Georgia

What do do about this attorney

I had to retain, at the cost of $5,000 an attorney because I was accused of some terrible things by an ex and a woman I had never even saw before. All of this was fabrication to ruin me.

Without more details, what is wrong with this picture: Attorney makes 'deal with' whomever that If I drop lawsuit against accusers, my issues would go away, they didn't, I was indicted. Out of 5 court appearances my attorney misses 3, after saying day before he would meet me in court; he was in another county court. He then calls and leaves msg. on my machine that my case has been dead docketed. No explanation of what that was. He has not returned any calls from me, I have sent him certified mail, I can find nothing out here to tell me what I need to know, and am afraid to contact county of trouble. I have been hung out, taken for money, had a no show attorney that won't talke to me, and don't know if I will ever be called to court, and if so does he have to rep. me? Bar even tried to get him to contact me and failed. This has been going on since 2003, & I don't know where I stand or if this comes up is he still my lawyer. Is deaddocketed in GA considered settled? What about expungement? It is a felony thing. I live n fear ..

Re: What do do about this attorney

The clear answer is to get another lawyer to look into the various issues, especially the criminal case. It is beyond what can be resolved here.
