Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Georgia
Circumvention of the system and Answering back
A restraining order was issued. My husband's uncle and aunt are visitation supervisors. He is not to be present at exchanges. They drop him off in the parking lot next door. They refuse to stop stating ''We will do whatever we wish because he says the order was dismissed in court.'' I got tired of it, so I sent via certified mail a copy of the order. Next they sent a letter directly to the Judge stating they wished to be dismissed as supervisors. In the letter, they said they were afraid I was trying to file fraudulent charges against them. They stated that they had been complying with the order the whole time, and that they couldn't think of a reason I would send them a copy of it ''except for documentation for some future frivolous lawsuit.'' My attorney got them to agree to continue supervision again, so he was adamant about me not sending a response. Would the Judge have actually read this letter or just filed it? And is it better for me to just drop it or send my own letter? My attorney said their continued supervision was the answer to the letter. What should I do?

Get someone else to act in their place. There will always be conflict otherwise. Obviously you and they don't get along. Have your attorney motion the court to appoint someone neutral.
