Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Georgia

I was sent home from emergency room hours before loosing baby, I was told that I had a bladder infection, but was never checked by my doctor, in fact she never showed. I was still in pain and an ultra sound wasn't performed. I reached out to a law firm, but no results, it's been since 2006, so I don't know if I can even file now.

There is a 2 year statute of limitations on medical malpractice in Georgia. If you don't file a suit within the 2 year period, you lose the right to sue.
