Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Georgia

Minor is represented in suit for personal injury by his father as parent & natural Guardian. Counsel hired. Lawsuit field. Case settled years later, After Minor reaches 18. Son's attorney Dies, Without Sons's knowledge Fathers hires new counsel & the money is paid to the father, who never provides money to then adult son. i would like some opinion on the exposure of the lawyer under these facts as well as the claim against the father. Settlement was accomplished by court order signing off payment to the father, presumable with the court not knowing that minor had obtained majority. No probate court approval obtained either.
