Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Georgia

mistaken identitiy

The state of Ga. has denied me a drivers license because there is another person with the same name and DOB in NJ with a suspended license. The state of NJ wants me to mail a copy of my SS card, birth certificate and DL to them to clear it up, which is rediculous. Can I sue either or both of these states?

Re: mistaken identitiy

It would be ridiculous to try to file a lawsuit (which would likely go nowhere and only delay you getting a license), when the matter could probably be cleared up by sending the documents and cooperating with them.
