Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Georgia
I have been working for my present employer for 6 months. Part of my job responsibilities are to e-verify new employees. It is a small company with approximately 35 full-time employees with about 50% Hispanics. My employer is bringing in a former employee that quit and moved back to Mexico about 9 months ago. My employer had told me not to e-verify him. I don't think this is legal. Can you help me?

You need to quit today. Conspiracy to violate a federal law is a serious crime and you can go to prison. No job is worth that. Send in your notice and after you do, call the FBI. Do not return to work there.
A note: You posted this in a part of LawGuru dealing solely with attorney misconduct, so unless you are a lawyer, you hit the wrong part of Law Guru and some attorneys thus will miss the question.
