Legal Question in Legal Malpractice in Georgia
Someone I know was busted with weed (less than one ounce) and a dummy gun with the firing pin drilled out. The police offered him a break if he gives up info on other people. It is all off the books, and no papers were signed or anything except their word against his. Where exactly does he stand legally?

Unless he's completely foolish he stands of thin ice and can be prosecuted. He should already have a lawyer and should not be speaking to the police at all without his lawyer. Plea deals and informant deals are NOT done verbally.
