Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Georgia
Limitations
I had double hernia surgery almost three years ago and was left with a problem that has adversely affected my life. No one seems to want to do anything about the problem short of cutting on me again. What are the statute of limitations as they pertain to medical malpractice?
Thanks

Re: Limitations
The statute of limitations is 2 years from the date the act of malpractice occurs (so you may already be too late). If it is something that was concealed, or if the patient was a minor, the time period may be different (to determine that you would need to sit down with a lawyer immediately).
