Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Georgia
I am a veteran that take advantage of the VA medical facilities. In December a doctor convinced me that I needed a steroid shot around one of my eyeballs. When the shot was administered the steroid was actually shot in my eye resulting in having to be operated on to get the steroids out of my eye and stitch up the puncture cause by the needle. I am virtually blind in that eye. Can I sue for malpractice or something?

It certainly sounds like malpractice. The injection was improperly administered, and in violation of your understanding of what the treatment would be. You did not agree to an injection into your eyeball, but rather around it. Did the physician who administered the treatment fail to read the chart?
More facts, and a medical opinion, are necessary to conclude you have a sold case. A qualified lawyer won't make that conclusion based on your post. If you life near a large city, there are certainly qualified lawyers who primarily handle medical malpractice claims (not lawyers who handle every kind of tort claim).
