Re: General Discharge(Under Honorable Conditions)

A General Discharge (Under Honorable Conditions) does not automatically get upgraded to a Honorable Discharge. An attorney can submit a legal brief to the appropriate discharge review board requesting that a discharge be upgraded, however.

Re: General Discharge(Under Honorable Conditions)

ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE.

By statute you can APPLY for an upgrade the day after discharge up until 15 years from the date of discharge. Whether it would be approved is discretionary. Most people do not get an upgrade.

There are ways to do a "self-help" discharge or you can have legal help in submitting a petition for upgrade.
