Legal Question in Military Law in Georgia
Lautenberg Amendment
I was convicted of a misdemeanour domestic violence crime after the implementation of the Lautenberg Ammendment. Is there any possibility of my re-entering the us army to pursue a career as a helicopter pilot?

Re: Lautenberg Amendment
You need to engage an attorney who understands Lautenberg relative to military service. The only scenario in which you are likely to have a shot at serving again is to have your domestic violence conviction expunged. Did you plead guilty, or were you found guilty at a trial? Were you represented by counsel? Was the case here in GA, or another state?
