military discharges
I am a police recruiter I have a female who was discharged with general under honorable conditions I wantto hire her but our agencys HR says she did not receive an Honorable didcharge is ther anything in writing indicating this is an honorable discharge

Re: military discharges
HR is technically correct; there is a distinction between a true Honorable discharge and a General (Under Honorable Conditions) discharge. Yet, a General Discharge is not considered punitive, or bad. If the words themselves are not sufficient for hiring purposes, though, what more can you do?
