Legal Question in Military Law in Georgia
va disability benefits
I was in military 1959-1962 and received an honorable discharge. I am now disabled after receiving a heart/kidney transplant. I was not in any conflict or war while in service. I did break my ankle and arm. Am I entitled to va disability benfits. I have friends drawing va disability and they were not injuried etc. Thanks for your help.

Re: va disability benefits
You may or may not be entitled to VA disability benefits. It has nothing to do with participation in combat operations. The only way to find out is to apply to the VA. They will evaluate your case and make an eligibility determination. Call the nearest VA facility to get assistance with your application. The only way to know is to ask. Best of luck to you, and thank you for your service to our country.
