See a doctor if there are potentially real injuries. Otherwise, what are you asking? All we know is your mother fell, and it appears you believe a display has something to do with it but you chose to not tell us why. Displays are generally in every store, they don't move, are easy to see and avoid, and don't cause people to fall. If you believe this display somehow caused your mother to fall, and it was someone's fault other than her own, you need to tell us why.
Get her immediate medical attention to make sure she is okay if you have not yet done so. That means a trip to the ER or her doctor, or both. Immediate means today. Falls at age 80 can be quite dangerous.
If she has significant injuries and you also contend that the store was negligent in how the display was designed or located, then you also want to promptly see a lawyer.
There is not enough in your post to tell me that you do or do not have a legal case. But you should not talk to Macy's or their insurer without legal advice. Feel free to call me tommorrow at 404-768-3509 with more details.
First of all, injuries suffered as a result of an accident do not inevitably entitle you to an award of monetary damages. Before you waste your resources and time filing suit, meet with a lawyer to have your case evaluated.
Best of luck,
