Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

My boyfriend was driving my car down the street from our house. Three cars in front of him collided into each other with him being the 4th and last car to hit the 3rd car. He was not insured on my policy. There was no major damage to car. Just maybe a scratch. There was no damage at all in the car in front of him. The 3rd car hit the other cars pretty hard because his hood was bent. Two years later, we got papers served with both our names suing for injuries of $6,000 from one of the drivers when there was clearly no damage and the cars in front had more of an impact to the first car. My boyfriend also said he was the only was to seem to have a ticket as if he was at fault? I no longer have that insurance when the accident happened over two years ago. How do I handle this? If my old insurance don’t cover, is there anything I can use for our case such as no damage to my vehicle and the one ahead ? He didn’t seemed to caused a chain reaction to the first car.

This is potentially a very complicated insurance coverage matter. I'm assuming from the facts stated in your question that your boyfriend doesn't have a car or any auto insurance of his own. You need to call your insurer at that time immediately. That insurer is supposed to hire a lawyer at no cost to you or your boyfriend to defend him and you. As long as your boyfriend was driving with your permission unless there is some specific exclusion in the policy he has coverage under your policy at the time even if that policy is no longer in effect for this incident. That said, there is a requirement that the insurer be notified in a timely fashion about the wreck. If you didn't do that before there may be a problem with coverage. Under the facts as stated in your question it seems that your boyfriend was not at fault and also you do not have any liability either. All of that being said, you need to get an attorney knowledgeable in car wreck/insurance claims yourself to protect you. If no answer to the lawsuit is filed within the time allowed you and yourboyfriend could have to pay damages. If you call me I will give you the name of an experienced attorney in Cobb County who can help you.
