Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

My car ws recently hit by an off duty deputy sheirff in his civilian car while I was inside of it. He left the scene without giving his information but ws later identified by security cameras. What is the best way to go about getting my car fixed and compensation for my time and suffering?

Call your insurer - that is what they are there for. Certainly, you have a police report, since it would likely also be a crime for you to leave the scene of an accident without reporting it. As for time and "suffering," exactly what injuries did you sustain to cause the "suffering?"
