Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

my girl friend lives in Ga, she was in an accendent a few weeks ago when a someone ran the red light. Her minvan is a 2000 toyota sienna ce 280000miles. The other guys insurance is offering her $2700 for the car. However that amount can not buy her a similar car in the condition it was before the accident. She has asked for them to just fix her van and not give her any money for it and the refused. What are her legal right here if any?

First of all, you've left out the most important detail. Was she hurt? If so, she should have a lawyer and should NOT be talking to the insurer/

She is entitled to no more than the value of the car if the care is totalled, not to buy another car. She is not entitled to repairs if they exceed the value of the car.
