Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

I was involved in a car accident in August. I hired an attorney for my personal injury case. After the initial meeting and sending over paperwork, my attorney stopped communicating with me. Today I received a call from a paralegal saying that the attorney no longer works at the firm and that she would be taking over my case. She asked me to brief her on the case and to resend all documents that were sent to the attorney. What are my rights? Is a paralegal able to represent me in such a case?

No! It is a crime for a paralegal to represent you. But you likely misunderstood and she is likely under the supervision of a lawyer. Meet with that lawyer (not the paralegal) IN PERSON and decide if you want to continue with them or not. If they refuse, fire them and get new counsel.
