Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

On March 21, 2008 I was in an Auto Accident. I have agreed to settle the case and the Insurance Adjuster has told me that she has to put my husband on the check. At the time of the accident, I was not married. Why are they doing this?

I should add that you are from your post two days past the statute of limitations, meaning your claim has expired unless you filed suit or agreed in writing to settle before the statute ran.
