Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia
Power Surge in my home, liability lies with Cobb EMC and Johnson Electric, Inc.
Purchased a new home in 99. Experienced electrical problems throughout the home for 1 1/2 years til finally everything electrical shut down in the home 11/00.
Electric company worked 3 1/2 days to find and correct problem.
A ground rod was driven through the neutral just outside home by the electrician and Electrical Company drove a ground rod in the neutral at the transformer box. (company cut the cable off and repaired the cable, I asked for the cable. They asked for the cable and so has my insurance company but I still have it. I have personally purchased new items and am still experiencing problems. Elec. Co. did a graph at transformer. Stated graph was within limits. My electrician states I should get my own graph, feels somethings not right.
I'm losing money and am scared. And I am getting very frustrated with Elec. Co. and electrian. Please, please, any advice would be so greatful.
Thank you for your consideration

You should contact an electrical engineer to inspect your home as soon as possible. Get your own graph but have an engineer do it. If he finds problems, then you need to contact a local trial lawyer. You have 4 years in which to bring a claim for defective construction.
