Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia

Question about lost wages on PI claim:

I was out of the office for a total of 67 hours for medical appointments relating to a car accident. Some of these I billed against my sick time, but for most of them, I just worked late. The net is that while I didn't lose wages, exactly, I did lose time away from my family. How do I account for this? I have the appointment times marked out on my calendar for work, so there is a record. Will I have to supply some sort of affidavit from my employer saying I was docked those hours, or will my records be sufficient to support my claim of lost wages?

Thanks!

You have to show lost wages. A lost wage verification should be filled out by your employer. You can use the hours you billed against sick time as lost wages. If you would like to discuss your case in more detail, feel free to contact my office. 404.529.9081
