Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia
School Bus Accident
On Dec.3,1998 At approx. 7:00 a.m., I was traveling down hwy. 82 (on the job) In Tifton, Ga. ,with my 1 month pregnant wife, when a school bus ,loaded with 23 children, ran a stop sign coming off of a side dirt road and she hit me. The speed limit was 55 mph... I was traveling 36 mph and it was foggy. There was some what of a car pile up and I suffered a fractured pelvis, bruised kidney, and a herniated disk. I had
to have two neck fusions and have aquired more than 80 thousand dollars worth of doctor bills. How much money should a case like this be worth? And is there such a thing as a ''ungodly act'' ruling in court?

It is unfair to give you a figure for what a traumatic injury case like yours is worth. Your case needs professional evaluation. The first level is the attorney. If you have an experienced attorney, that will give you a starting point. There are many issues involved such as the permancy of your injuries, loss of income, loss of future income and other considerations.

There are a great many variables affecting the valuation of your claim, but it is substantial. I would be happy to discuss this with you to go over all the factors and come up with at least a preliminary evaluation. My number is 404-364-1999.
There is no "ungodly act" ruling in the courts of Georgia. Perhaps you are thinking of the "Act of God" defense, but that does not appear applicable here.
Re: School Bus Accident
You did not ask about this but generally there is a two year statute of limitations for personal injury claims in GA.Have you already filed suit?
