Legal Question in Personal Injury in Georgia
I work as a sales rep out of my home in a state where my home office is not situated. The company intranet I have access to does not post information about WC under the "Employee Benefits" section of the company intranet. It only posts thourough "Disability" information and vacation time, etc. The link to any WC information is in a very hard to find unsuspecting location and only says "contact your supervisor." I have never had a medical claim so when I was injured I called the out of state home office and they proceeded to only send me "Disability" information and application. When I called in I did not know my injury was work related or not and told my employer that I did not know. That is because I only felt the pain symptoms of what turned out to be a disc injury and had no idea how WC worked. Luckily, I did give notice of an injury within the 30 days and sought treatment. I am in the process of a WC claim now but my question is whether or not my company is liable for not providing me any WC information and not having access to WC information on the company intranet?

Sue for what? What are your damages (beyond the WC claim you are still pursuing)?
