I own 3.75 Acres in Georgia that I recently inherited about 6 moths ago. I want to give my mother some of the land for her birthday. How do I go about doing that. Will it cost money?

You'd need a lawyer to draft the deed which isn't that costly. You'd have to pay a surveyor to divide the property so the deed can be drawn. If the value of your gift exceeds $14000 you also need to pay a CPA a small fee for the required gift tax return (the tax would presumably be zero).
