I have a 30' easement designated on my lot with no explanation for its existence on the property description. I want it taken off my plat. What do I have to do to get it taken off?

Easements are not just removed because you don't want them there. So the answer is no, you can't. Finding out how it got there is easy. Do a title search. The easement was created by a recorded document. Assuming you used a lawyer to represent you at purchase, you are asking a question now that you should have asked before buying.
