adding a person to my lease

I want to know if I can break my lease by adding my husband. The rental company says only 3 people can live in a 2 bedroom apt. But they know he lives there with me. Is that grounds to break a lease. I have asked this question sept 3, but it wasnt answered...

I do not understand your question. Generally you cannot take advantage of the breach of a contract by causing the breach. So, I suppose the answer would be "no."
