What can you do if your contractor goes out of business before all the items are fixed in your new house?

It has been my experince that when a contractor "goes out of business" he is really continuing to do business under another name. A good bit of investigation is going to be required. Consult with a local attorney.

You might be able to go after the owners of the company, but only if they ran the company improperly. If it is a small amount of money, it is probably not worth it even bothering.
