Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Georgia

BCounty code inforcement officer

I purchased a new home that was already built. We moved from Fl and since the home was new -we did not have it reinspected. After moving in we discovered many problems. One-the electrical line spliced 3-ways secured with black tape. Dryer vent terminates into soffit, pex pipe ran above ground-no arc fault protection of bedroom outlets, walkway in attic should be 30 not 24 inches, drain line extends through foundation wal should have elbow installed to turn pipe down.cellulose should be R-30, These are just a few. Builder willnot respond-gave inspection reports to county commissioners who passed back to inspectors. Inspectors ow contacting sub-contractors to correct their work

Re: BCounty code inforcement officer

Your post is far from clear, but the most important point is at the beginning - you chose to buy a house without your own inspection. That should never be an option, new or old house, for the reasons you are now finding out. Reporting it to the county might help future homeowners in the county but it won't likely help you. What claims you might have against the builder depends on documents, and much more information.
