Breaking an Apartment Lease

Is there a law that allows a renter to let a rentee out of his/her apartment lease if he/she buys a house?

No. Unless the lease provides for an early termination, the tenant is stuck for the entire lease. As a practical matter, however, most leases allow you to get out upon payment of, e.g., two or three months' rent and/or loss of security deposit.
